I got a letter today that made me miss school:
To Miss Beth:
I apologize for my tardiness in writing. I confess, once I asked for your address, I forgot I had it until flipping through my address book a few moments ago. I then realized what a dolt I am and immediately sat down to write you A Hearbreaking Work of Staggering Genius (that's a book, actually, although not by me, I highly recommend it).
Hope your summer of love is progressing well. Mine is about as unartistic and uninspired as any in Christendom (and beyond, believe it or not), and I find myself pining for want of good, stimulating conversation. Listening to the sexual fantasies of one of my co-workers just isn't a life I care to encourage.
Hans came and went, and we had a lovely time. You would have laughed at us had you been here--our trips to Barnes and Noble have become the stuff of local legends. Wish you could have been around so that we could have had a poetry night, but that can wait until next semester.
Speaking of which, I am reminded of your idea to dress according t othe poet within. I'm hoping to make a trip up to Chapel Hill in the near future, and, while there, I plan on shopping in a lovely vintage clothing store. Perhaps I can find some yummy garments there. =)
I must close this epistle now, but hopefully I'll talk to you soon. I miss you dreadfully (erm...in a non-prison movie sort of way, o focurse), but "these woes shall serve for sweet discourses in our times to come." (Name THAT line - ha!) Have a GREAT summer!

I miss school.
And Carolynn called me today, too. It made me miss school even more.
Love,
Beth
