august 3, 2002, 9:50 p.m. - scottish shoes and sausages!

you know, I feel kind of bad that I haven't really been updating this diary lately. I just... well, I don't know. There hasn't been a lot that I've felt I could write about. And even if I could, I don't know how I'd put it into words.

I bought the World's Niftiest Pair Of Shoes Ever today. Handmade scottish dancing/piper's shoes, made of buffalo hide and so soft and pliable that they feel like I'm barefoot when I wear them. They lace/twist around my ankle a couple of times and then get tied just above it. And they're gorgeous. And I love them.

But anyway.. I don't know. So much has changed lately, I guess. In a very short time, nearly everything is different. And almost all of it is different in a good way, so it isn't that I'm not happy with the changes. It just takes a little bit of adjusting.

Oh, I ate haggis today. That was my great achievement.

I really must have a lot of Scottish blood. I loved it. hee.

And I talked to Andrew on the phone today ,which is always fun. And my mother and I spent time doing mother-daughter type activities and generally "bonding", which is always always always good.

So today was good. Church tomorrow, which will of course be nice. It's a communion Sunday and we're having a church meal afterwards, and it will be nice and such.

And that is all for now. Ta, diary.

Love,
Beth

And don't you feel The current mood of rabbut at www.imood.com today, too?
